Mealody is built and supported by an independent developer. Every email is read and answered by a real person — not a bot or an outsourced support desk. Whether you've found a bug, need help with your subscription, want to report a recipe issue, or just have a question, we'd love to hear from you.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Mealody subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, so cancellations are managed in your iPhone Settings (not inside the app).
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
- Tap Mealody, then Cancel Subscription
Your Pro features stay active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after that.
How do I restore my purchases?
If you reinstalled the app or switched to a new iPhone and your Pro features aren't showing:
- Open Mealody and go to Settings
- Tap Restore Purchases
- Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe
If your subscription still doesn't restore, email us at support@getmealody.com and we'll sort it out.
How do I request a refund?
All subscription refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple ID you subscribed with. If your refund is declined and you believe it was unfair, email us — we can advocate on your behalf in some cases.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly inside the app:
- Open Mealody and go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm — this is permanent and irreversible
All of your profile data, preferences, liked meals, and family members are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it in iPhone Settings as well — deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
How does Mealody handle allergies and dietary restrictions?
Allergy and dietary information you enter is used to filter recipe recommendations across the app — for yourself and every family member you've added. We treat allergen filtering as a hard safety boundary: if a recipe contains a flagged allergen, it will not be recommended.
IMPORTANT: Mealody is a meal planning tool, not a medical product. Allergy data is self-reported and not verified by any medical professional. You are responsible for reading every recipe's full ingredient list before cooking, and for ensuring your allergy profile is accurate. See our Terms of Service for the full allergy disclaimer.
How do Pro and Pro+ work?
Mealody is free to use with a core set of features. Pro and Pro+ unlock additional capabilities like the full recipe library search, the Weekly Plan, family profiles, and Mealody Studio. You can upgrade from inside the app at any time, and the paywall always shows the current price and what's included before you confirm.
A recipe seems wrong — what do I do?
If you spot a recipe with incorrect ingredients, missing allergen info, broken instructions, or anything else off, please email us at support@getmealody.com with the recipe name and what looks wrong. Recipe corrections are a priority — we'll fix it and push an update.
I have a feature request
We love hearing what would make Mealody better for you. Send ideas to support@getmealody.com — every suggestion is read, and a lot of what shipped in the app started as a user email.
What if my issue isn't listed here?
Just email us at support@getmealody.com with as much detail as you can — what happened, what you expected, your iPhone model, and your iOS version if you know it. Screenshots help a lot. We'll get back to you within 24 hours.
