Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (chuck or sirloin)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cooked short-grain rice
  • 1 cup dashi stock
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sake (optional)
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Pickled red ginger (beni shoga), for garnish
