Ingredients

  • 12 oz white fish fillets (e.g., cod, haddock)
  • 1 medium potato, peeled and boiled
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped gherkins or dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp capers, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)
