Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs firm white fish (e.g., pomfret, kingfish), cut into pieces
  • 1.5 cups coconut milk (thick)
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste, diluted in water
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 2-3 dried red chilies
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • Salt to taste
