  • 1/2 lb ground pork or 1 block firm tofu, crumbled
  • 1/4 lb shrimp, peeled and chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup green beans, sliced
  • 1/2 cup jicama (singkamas), julienned
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the wrappers:
  • 4 large fresh lumpia wrappers (or make your own)
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch slurry
  • Crushed peanuts and lettuce leaves for serving
