Ingredients

  • 1 cup urad dal (split black gram, soaked for 4 hours)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 green chili, minced
  • 5-6 curry leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
