Ingredients

  • 1 cup semolina (rava)
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal (split black gram)
  • 1/2 tsp chana dal (split chickpeas)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1/2 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2.5 cups hot water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots)

How it starts

    Dry roast the semolina in a pan over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until fragrant, then set aside.
